BONITACE APPROVING RULES & REGULATIONS

BASIC PROVISIONS

1. The purpose of the Bonitace Regulations is establishing uniform guidelines for organizing Bonitace & the Bonitace committee.
2. Bonitace is a professional breeding activity based on knowledge of exterior & nature characteristics of the breed as well as its faults when compared to the breed standard. Pedigree value is taken into consideration when determining dog’s breeding use & serves as a guide when choosing mating partners.
3. Full completion of bonitace is a condition for inclusion the evaluated dog amongst breeding dogs. Bonitace is valid for life.
4. Bonitace is committee consists of 3 people designated by the club – an exterior reviewer, main breed advisor, a show & bonitace officer and possibly other breeders. Bonitace committee is allowed to postpone the decision about breeding suitability until following bonitace (health issues etc).
5. Evaluation must conform the bonitace guidelines and rules & regulations. Evaluated dogs receive bonitace code. The result is noted into dog’s PP as „chovny“ („suitable for breeding“) or „nechovny“ („not suitable for breeding“). Dog’s withers height; date & place of bonitace are also noted into PP. The record is stamped with a club stamp & signed by committee members.
6. Should there be any doubt about dog‘s identity, bonitace committee is allowed to request a repetition of the evaluation or to terminate it.
7. The dog’s owner has a right to appeal to the bonitace committee. He / she may appeal within 1 month after the bonitace. If the club’s committee accepts the appeal, bonitace will be repeated. Two extra breeders will extend the committee.
8. It is possible to substitute Bonitace / Evaluation, of dogs residing outside Czech Republic, by a veterinary description of the dog. Veterinarian fills in an approved form evaluating the dog. The result of the veterinarian bonitace is up to the bonitace committee. The decision is made at the next bonitace gathering. The owner of the dog should also enclose PP, good quality photos of the dog (whole body, standing) & the form filled, stamped & signed by the foreign veterinarian.

GENERAL PROVISIONS

9. Male & female dogs may attend bonitace from the age of 12 months. Age limit for breeding of small breeds is 15 months according to FCI regulations.
10. Dogs with valid PP and dogs applying for acceptance for helping register may attend bonitace.
11. Only healthy animals may attend bonitace. Dogs have to go through veterinarian check & present a valid health book with vaccination against rabies stamped.
12. Committee is allowed to exclude dirty, neglected dogs or the dogs with parasites.

ORGANIZING BONITACE

13. Bonitace of PRAŽSKÝ KRYSAŘÍK breed is exclusively organized by the club. It can be organized as a part of a dog show, independently or in cooperation with another club.
14. Club is obliged to inform its members about planned bonitace (place & date) in a written form to enable those interested to attend.
15. Club is obliged to plan & organize sufficient number of bonitace gatherings for each year. Club is also allowed to organize a special bonitace. The special bonitace needs to be announced 30 days in advance on club website.
16. Bonitace application form must consist of owner’s name & address, dog’s name, date of birth, registration number & names of both parents together with their registration numbers.
17. Club arranges veterinarian service during the bonitace evaluation.
